D'arcy Mellsop began training in Taekwon-Do for the confidence that being able to defend oneself provides. Mr Mellsop attributes much of his personal and professional growth to the confidence and discipline that training in Taekwon-Do has instilled, and has become an instructor to 'Pay it forward' - to nurture and grow the confidence, self discipline and moral culture of his own students.
Mr Malcolm Doidge joined the original Brooklyn Taekwon-Do club, with his 2 children, in 2005 and graded to 1st Dan in 2009. Mr Doidge shares Mr Mellsop's enthusiasm for fitness and having fun doing Taekwon-Do. He is also committed to instructing that focuses on students and helping them achieve their goals. Mr Doidge illustrated the ITFNZ Taekwon-Do 'Minikids' syllabus book and also helped develop its content. The syllabus is used by Mrs Miller in her 'Kids class' and in dojangs around New Zealand.
