Mr Mellsop has decided that he can no longer commit to the role, and the committee agreed that Ms Fisher, a member of the Brooklyn school who has an interest in Accounting and is studying it this year at Victoria University, would be an excellent replacement. The Spirit Taekwon-Do Group constitution allows for the committee to appoint a new Treasurer in the case where the position becomes vacant mid-term. (Clause 12.6)
Mr D'arcy Mellsop has been the Treasurer of Spirit Taekwon-Do since we first became an incorporated society, and he has done a fantastic job of setting up all the systems and processes needed to keep our organisation ticking over. Ms Fisher will be able to transition easily into the role and this is a real credit to Mr Mellsop's attention to detail and process.
A huge thank you to Mr Mellsop for all his effort over the past years. And congratulations to Ms Fisher!
