Spirit Taekwon-Do

The following is a breakdown of the costs of training with Spirit Taekwon-Do. Note that in many cases family discounts will apply if there is more than one person from a family joining, training or grading at the same time.

Beginners Classes $20
Optional classes for brand new people. Four 1 hour sessions with a qualified black belt, designed specifically for beginners. (More Info)
 
Joining Fee $95
Gives you membership to Spirit Taekwon-Do and the ITFNZ. The joining fee is reduced by the cost of the beginners class if you have attended one.
 
Monthly Fees $40 (Kids class - $35) *
Fees are payable on the 25th of each month (for the next month), by automatic payment. 
Fees are payable 12 months of the year.
* Note that if fees are paid by any method other than automatic payment then the cost is $45 per month.

Grading Fees $50 per grading
Three times a year the ITFNZ holds gradings. These give you the opportunity to move up through the ranks as you gain proficiency in Taekwon-Do.

Dobok/Uniform
This is not necessary straight away, but you will need one before you grade to your next belt. Spirit Taekwon-Do does not sell doboks, but you can find a list of official ITFNZ dobok suppliers here. Note that Fuji-Mae has a physical shop in Cleveland St, Brooklyn, and sells official ITFNZ doboks.

There are often tournaments, seminars, camps and other activities throughout the year. These are optional, and usually incur extra costs.
